NEWTOWN – Alan Thomas Fletcher, 41, died peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Danbury Hospital after a long illness.
Alan was born in Norwalk, CT on December 23, 1975. He was a resident of Newtown for over 30 years. He attended Newtown schools and graduated from Newtown High School in 1994.
Alan was a passionate audiophile, loving music of all kinds. He provided sound for various bands in the area. He worked at WMNR and WLAD. He was a Ham Radio operator. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, camping and visiting the local parks. Alan loved animals, especially his yellow Lab, Max.
Alan is survived by his devoted mother & father, Caryn and Donald Fletcher; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT.
Calling hours will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, CT. There will be a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
