Since the moment I came out into the world, my mother was there for me. Her wonderful hugs and awesome head of curly hair was always there to greet me. The first time she needed surgery was in third grade; I didn't even know what cancer really was then. In my seventh grade year, she somehow contracted the disease again. I knew life was going to take a big turn from there, and I knew that I had to stick with her through it all. While it scared me at first, I slowly adjusted to my surroundings. However, the path took an unexpected turn when my mother had to go to a hospice. I didn't know what a hospice was, but I felt that I would have rather seen her in a hospital rather than the new place. What a coincidence that my mother died on the most fun day of the week; Hump Day! And oddly enough, I wasn't as sad on the day she died as I thought I would. In fact, we actually had a whale of a time at the diner for breakfast. I figured she didn't want us to be upset, so on her first day of heavenl she tried to make us as happy as she could. Mom, if you're reading this from heaven, I just want you to know that I will always love you, and Ryan has your curly hair. It's growing over his face now and bounces funny. It would be nice to have some guidance before going into 8th grade, but I know I can always contact you in heaven via prayer. I hope you're having a good time with your dad and making lots of crochet hats for the disciples, while jamming out with Michael Jackson. I hope he taught you how to moonwalk! I'm sure you would have fun doing that. Enjoy heaven! Remember to say hi, because I miss you! I'll see you when the time is right. Love, ~Caitlin P.S. We are so saddened to hear of the loss of Rosa. We met her this summer at travel baseball and I loved cheering our boys on together. Rosa was such an amazing person with such a zest for life! She will truly be missed. We send our deepest condolences to the Farrell Family.

We will always remember with love our "Miss Rosa" and those long cold nights we spent in our three season room by the fireplace. The nights eating pizza at My Place. Rosa was my friend. I will miss her deeply. She was a light as we both had cancer and loved seeing her at baseball practices... our sons were on the same team a couple of years ago. Please know that I prayed and continue to pray. I am also praying for Terence and the kids. I hope they all know that I am here when and if they need me.

Vivacious... if there is one word that I think of when I think of Rosa, that is it. I will always remember her love of laughter, dancing and life as a whole. She was a special friend, wife and mother. She will be dearly missed.

I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences. I am truly sorry for the loss that Rosa family is feeling. Anytime that we loss someone in death can be the hardest thing to experience and my throughts and prayers are with her family. During this difficult time, know that God wants you to rely on him for comfort. (2 Corinthians 1: 3, 4) It is my hope that relying on God and cherishing the wonderful memories of Rosa will console the family in the day's to come.

I've known Rosa for many years, since back when she lived in NJ. I remember how amazing she was caring for her beautiful twins when they were born. She was beautiful inside and out, always kind and she told great stories. I myself feel like I am more quiet in social situations, but what I did share with Rosa was love of dancing. She was my favorite dance partner at Unilever Christmas parties over the years, always ready to have a great time. Those are my fondest memories. I went out this past New Year's Eve with family and friends and immediately thought of Rosa when the 80's party anthem "Celebrate" started to play. Maybe any 80's dance song would have done that, but at that moment I felt like celebrating my memories of a good friend.

I greatly admire Rosa's strength through her illness. Her petite body went through so much, but she was always smiling when I saw her. I feel lucky to have known her and words can't describe the lessons I've learned through her.

Terence, Ryan and Caitlin are very special to me. I am so glad they have so many wonderful people around to support and love them.

Love you Rosa! You will always be in my heart.

It was Thursday August 15th 2013. Caitlin & Shaunas' Girl Scout troop arrived at Club Getaway in Kent CT. It was a mother & daughter time. Our Sandy Hook troop had blended with another Girl scout troop. We mothers packed like we were going for weeks. It was only till Friday. We had all our luggage piled high in front of the cabins. We were to chose what cabins we wanted to stay in. Rosa & I picked to be together, well Caitlin & Shauna did. Of course there was bunk beds in there and the girls wanted those. Rosa & I were relieved for that. Both of us could not climb that. So we found 2 beds next to each other. Rosa asked me do you snore? I said I do not think so but then I am sleeping. I asked her if she snored, we laughed. We had a great time. Lounging in the chairs at the beach, eating buffet style under the tent. It was a great day. At night when we went to bed. Rosa & i woke up to alot of noise to the back cabin. They were having a loud party and banging the walls. Rosa yelling at them or trying to thru the walls and we started banging. Finally Rosa called the Club Getaway people to come and Rosa standing in her PJS. Now we had to get up early to make it to breakfast. Rosa set her alarm to the Family Guy were Stewey said MOM, MOM,MOM,MOM, MOM!!! Rosa kept hitting the snooze button over & over again, MOM,MOM,MOM,MOM, over & over again. We all laughed so hard. Yes,we finally got up and we just made it to breakfast. When ever I hear that I will think of Rosa. Goodbye my friend
